Yeah, so I was speaking to someone about the Spirit and the Bride, y’know Heavenly Father and Mother (Rev. 22:17), and of course they said that the Bride is the church, us.
So at the time God had me show him this:
Rev. 22:16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”
17The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.
The testimony given to the churches is that the Spirit and the Bride are calling to give everyone the water of life (eternal life). First off, no church can give eternal life, no matter how much faith they claim to have. Giving life is something that only God can do.
Also, since the testimony is for the churches, how can the Bride be the church? It would seem that the “interpretation” that the Bride is always the church puts us at an impass for certain verses…
